Since being better organised and more structured allows the company to offer a better service to its customers, the STIB is constantly improving its processes by deploying a Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001 standard. This contributes to the cross-cutting performance of the divisions' activities and to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
In 2022, the "Bus", "Tram", "Metro", "Technical Customer eXperience" and "Rolling Stock" departments were ISO 9001 certified in their entirety. Several entities also obtained this certification for part of their activities, such as "Infrastructure", "Sales", "Internal Audit" and "Corporate Legal Affairs, Claims and Insurance".
